We currently offer maple, birch, poplar, and alder. Each takes stains and paint differently — maple and birch are tight-grained and paint beautifully, while alder has more visible grain that shines with oil and clear finishes. We're happy to walk you through the right choice.

Yes — within 30 days in its original unfinished condition. Once stain or paint has been applied the piece is considered final sale, since no two finishes are the same. Contact us first and we'll make it right.

It depends on the look you're after. Oil-based polyurethane gives the most durable surface for high-use pieces. Chalk paint produces a matte, farmhouse feel with no sanding required. A penetrating wood oil lets the natural grain breathe and look its best. We're happy to advise based on your project.
